Colt Marshal

The Colt Marshal is a variation of the post war Official Police. Only 2500 or less Marshals were produced during a 3 year period. This model is serialed in the range of 833352M and 845317M. The Marshal should have an "M" following the serial number but a few did leave the factory without the M suffix. I understand that the Colt Archive Services will not letter a Marshal as a Marshal without the M suffix. Factory nickel is considered rare, beware of refinished with nickel. The 4" barrel is far more common than the scarce 2" barrel.

Production began in 1954 and ended in 1956.
